A native of the Burgundy region of France and the son of a banker, Christian Roguenant saw his first winery at age 5. He decided early on that he was meant to be a winemaker.
Christian studied Enology and Winemaking at the University of Dijon. This education served him well as he traveled the world to make wine on five continents. Including France, Argentina, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Korea and finally to the Central Coast of California.
A consulting winemaker in high demand, Roguenant has studied the characteristics of different appellations all over the world. This knowledge helps him understand the fruit from the central coast, creating beautiful blends in Trenza.
Christian is overflowing with passion for his craft, always striving for perfection, he expresses: “My passion and desire is to make better wine every year. A winemaker is the greatest critic about his own wine-always striving to get closer to perfection.”
